• In Nice, the official dog beach "Plage de Lenval" – also known as "Site de la Lanterne" – is located directly opposite the Lenval Clinic on the Promenade des Anglais. Two large dog statues by the artist Stéphane Bolongaro mark the area. Here, Category 3 dogs are allowed to run free, romp, and even swim in the sea all year round. Category 2 dogs must be kept on a leash and muzzled; Category 1 dogs are not allowed.
• In Var is Toutou Beach (Cani-Plage Saint-Elme) near La Seyne-sur-Mer – a small, designated dog beach with a leash requirement and muzzle for Category 2 dogs. Swimming is permitted, but free running or playing is not permitted. Category 1 dogs are prohibited.
• In Bandol, there's Dog Beach – a small pebble cove behind the Stade Déferrari on the Corniche Bonaparte, overlooking the Île de Bendor. The beach is open all year round and exclusively for dogs. Equipped with poop bag dispensers and free parking, dogs are allowed to run and swim freely.
