The best luxury restaurants in Ibiza: Michelin stars, Sublimotion and exclusive beachfront locations

Ibiza currently has three Michelin-starred restaurants and has developed into a serious culinary destination in recent years. In addition to award-winning haute cuisine, gourmets will find top-class Japanese cuisine, Mediterranean fine dining concepts, creative fusion and stylish beach restaurants right by the sea. The island has long been more than just a party destination; today, it is a place for discerning connoisseurs.

La Gaia

The Ibiza Gran Hotel in Ibiza Town is home to La Gaia, which has been awarded a Michelin star since 2021. Chef Óscar Molina combines Japanese precision with Balearic flavours and interprets the island's cuisine at the highest level. His tasting menus, Tanit and Posidonia, are a culinary homage to the Mediterranean.

La Gaia is now one of the leading gourmet restaurants in Ibiza and is open all year round, which is particularly interesting for guests outside the high season.

Omakase by Walt

With only ten seats per evening, Omakase by Walt is one of the most intimate restaurants on the island. Chef Walter Martino serves traditional Edomae omakase in concentrated perfection. Each evening is like a private performance, with the menu created right in front of the guests. The restaurant has held a Michelin star since 2023.

If you want to reserve a table here, you should plan ahead, as demand is correspondingly high.

Unic

Unic in Platja d'en Bossa combines French cooking techniques with local produce and a botanically inspired perspective. This restaurant also currently holds a Michelin star and caters to guests looking for a modern, elegant interpretation of the island's cuisine.

Es Tragón, Ibiza's first Michelin-starred restaurant, is currently undergoing a reorientation and will reopen in 2026.

For guests staying in Ibiza Town or Sant Josep, these top addresses are just a few minutes' drive away. You can find a selection of exclusive accommodation here.

Sublimotion: The world's most exclusive dining experience

Hardly any other restaurant is as frequently searched for internationally as Sublimotion in Ibiza. Anyone who takes a closer look at ‘sublimotion ibiza’ will quickly realise that this is not a classic dinner, but a staged total experience.

At the Hard Rock Hotel, Michelin-starred chef Paco Roncero invites guests to a three-hour experience that he himself describes as ‘metagastronomy’. Projections, digital effects, music and theatrical elements merge with haute cuisine. Only twelve guests are allowed per evening.

With a price tag of 1,800,00€ per person, Sublimotion is one of the most exclusive gastronomic experiences in the world. The season runs from June to September, and reservations are often necessary weeks or months in advance.

For special occasions such as anniversaries or milestone birthdays, this experience is often combined with a stay in a private villa, allowing the evening to end in complete privacy. Luxurious beach restaurants

A glass of red wine in the warm light of the sunset – a relaxing moment in the evening.

A luxury restaurant in Ibiza is not necessarily located in the city centre. The south coast in particular combines fine dining with direct sea views.

Jondal, Cala Jondal

Jondal represents a new generation of beach restaurants in Ibiza. With its connection to Rafa Zafra, formerly of El Bulli, it celebrates seafood cuisine of the highest standard. The atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated, with a clear focus on first-class products.

Es Torrent

Since 1984, Es Torrent has been a fixture for authentic island cuisine. The restaurant is particularly famous for its lobster dishes. Less staged than many beach clubs, but traditional and quiet.

Amante, Sol d'en Serra

Located on a cliff, Amante offers one of the most impressive views on the island. At sunset, this beach restaurant transforms into a romantic setting for special evenings.

If you are staying near Sant Josep de sa Talaia, you can reach many of these addresses in a short time.

Nobu Ibiza Bay in Talamanca combines Japanese classics with Balearic influences. The terrace overlooking the bay creates an elegant backdrop, while dishes such as black cod miso have long enjoyed cult status.

Zuma Ibiza brings modern izakaya culture to the island. High-quality ingredients, creative presentation and a lively atmosphere make the restaurant a popular destination for guests who want to combine fine dining with energy.

Winter dining: The secret season

While even spontaneous restaurant visits require planning in summer, Ibiza is much more relaxed between November and March. Many connoisseurs appreciate these months in particular, as conversations with chefs and hosts become more personal.

Restaurants such as Jara at The Standard are open all year round and offer a stylish setting for fine dining even in winter. In addition, some of Ibiza Town's restaurants remain open throughout the year, so gourmets don't have to compromise on quality outside the high season.

A winter stay means more peace and quiet, easier reservations and a more intimate atmosphere.

Plan your culinary stay

Wegweiser auf Ibiza mit Hinweisen zu Restaurants und Essensmöglichkeiten

To experience several top addresses, we recommend staying for five to seven nights. This will give you enough time to sample different styles of cuisine.

During the summer months, reservations should be made two to four weeks in advance. For an upscale dinner in Ibiza, guests can expect to pay around 100,00€ to 250,00€ per person, excluding special experiences such as Sublimotion.

The months of May, June and September are considered particularly pleasant, as the climate is warm but the island is less crowded.

Many luxury villas offer private chef services or professionally equipped kitchens, ideal for an exclusive evening with your own group.
